.Academics: Teachers are mixed. Some really care about their students and do anything to help them succeed. Others are strictly lectures. Registration is an exciting and hectic period, however I usually get a pretty good schedule after a few days. The workload is stressful but it is manageable. Most popular study areas include MLC, Tate, and library.
.Academics: UGA offers a variety of classes, and it gives the students the opportunity to take them. The FYOS (first year seminars) are designed to give freshmen a chance to take an hour a week course not associated with your major.
.Academics: I am a psychology major. Be prepared to be surrounded by a large and predominantly female student cohort. The workload is manageable, and the curriculum is pretty interesting. The Psychology building is one of the older buildings on campus, but it is still nice enough.
.Majors: I'm a psychology major with a concentration in Neuroscience. The classes are hard but it's what I've always wanted to do. This school has one of the best programs for this and has an excellent research program and facility available to students and undergraduates to get experience in the field.
.Majors: Extremely easy to get an internship within certain programs at UGA. Terry students are heavily recruited by fortune 500 and regional companies.
.Technology: Desktops and laptops could be found anywhere on campus, in the library, classroom, or even in the dorms. One would never have to worry about doing school works or buying a computer because the school event let students rent and borrow laptops to use. The internet speed is great. The technology here at UGA is very great.
.Diversity: I go to a very diverse school. There is a great ethnic/racial diversity. Everyone seems to accept everyone. I love it because it adds character to the school. Religion is also pretty wide spread which makes topics of conversation very interesting and engaging.
.Campus Food: The dining at UGA is the best! Each dining hall is so different and that creates so many options and varieties of food. The only bad thing about campus dining is the hours, they close relatively early and the late night dining is only at Snelling and it is only pizza and pasta.
.Administration: The campus policies are a good idea because they are in place to keep us safe。
.Administration: UGA is all about the total college experience. Administrators are more concerned with academic progress than with worrying about students having fun on the weekends, as it should be.
.Athletics: I love attending a school with such exciting athletics. The football games, of course, are a very big deal, but even in the off season, there are many different sporting events to attend: basketball, baseball, equestrian, volleyball, swim team, and my personal favorite, gymnastics! Our school usually has good fan support and school spirit for most sporting events. With so many students with varied interests, most sporting events are pretty evenly attended.
.Athletics: Student's get really into the sports. Although football is the favorite, students also go to gymnastics meets and basketball games. There are various spirit groups for the sports and students feels a lot of school pride.
.Guys & Girls: It is a school of 35,000 students. You will meet a little bit of everything. I will say that there are a lot of girls and some can be stand-offish while some are friendly without a doubt. The guys are generally more outgoing than the girls, but again it just depends on the person. There are fewer artsy people that I know but I'm a business major (Maybe that's why I don't know many). Either way you will meet cool people of you be yourself and are open to meeting people.
.Health & Safety: I have never really felt threatened or scared on campus. Although police are not visible or constantly around, students tend to have a general respect for each other.
.Transportation: Transportation system at the school is awesome. You can walk to anywhere, you can take buses if you feel lazy, or you can just stay on the bus all day and it will take you anywhere you want to go, even to Atlanta.
.Transportation: The transit system is pretty efficient and organized. I am generally able to get to places that I need to go and have various options of doing so. Some students don't take advantage of the system or take time to learn the routes, but if you learn it in the first week of school, you'll be set for the rest of your time here.
.Party Scene: I don't personally party, but it's one of the highlights in Athens. The downtown scene is crazy, especially around football season and people enjoy it a lot. There are some frat parties too, but they're not as common and open to the public.
.Local Area: Athens if a pretty nice place to visit. The University is completely culturally different than the majority of the rest of the Athens area. There is plenty to do as far as shopping, parks, events, etc. Athens provides countless restaurants and entertainment both during the day and at night. I am able to walk just downtown and see a movie, concert or play followed by dinner at a variety of choices. In general, the locals are nice to students.
.Local Area: Very lively college town with tons to do.
.Academics: My specific major, being business management, is easier than any of the science majors, but it is still challenging with classes like accounting and some of the economics classes. The workload varies from class to class, but it is usually a little hefty. It all pays off in the end though.
