.Academics: If you don't do the work, you won't do well at all. Even if you miss one assignment, that will have deadly effects on your grades. It's entirely cumulative. If you want to pass, you have to be willing to do more than just attend lectures and seek help. You have to practice, practice, and practice.
.Academics: The history and Italian departments are excellent--the professors are always available and excited to discuss class material as well as developments in their field.
.Academics: The academics here are great since all professor don't mind helping you.
.Majors: Getting into the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham is competitive, no doubt; however, applications are reviewed holistically and it is not a numbers game. There is no one thing that is a deciding factor.
.Majors: Workload is okay, program isn't set up the best way - makes it hard for commuters to have normal schedules and there isn't a lot of information about the best way to set up your sequence of courses. Program courses also don't cover a lot of things that should be covered but focus on unnecessary content.
.Majors: You never know what it'll be like until you're there; certain places are far better than others but there's no way to predict what your experience will be like
.Majors: Great professors and smart kids to bounce ideas off of
.Majors: Top-tier academic school. Not much else to say here. Internships are extremely easy to get because of the NYC location and wide alumni network.
.Diversity: There are many international students who I love to meet and talk to, but I feel like they feel shy and prefer to only hang out with each other.
.Diversity: There's a lot of jesuits but also a lot of people without a religion, a lot of accepting people but you'll come across some homophobes too. Overall good
.Athletics: We are a Division I school when it comes to athletics. Our football team and basketball teams (both men and women) are some of the best in its division. There were years where they went undefeated, back-to-back. Our sports facilities are exceptional, so exceptional in fact that it is often packed. It's open from 6 am to midnight, so if you don't find time during the day to work out because it's crowded, you can go at night. Also note that students attend all home games for free. All you have to do is show your ID. We have a lot of school spirit too. Go rams!
.Campus Food: Not nearly as bad as everyone says. Has gotten loads better in the last few years. Addition of Cosi was great.
.Campus Housing: Campus housing gets better every year. A whole lot of renovating takes place every year based on previous student's suggestions.
.Campus Housing: The new freshman dorm has great amenities and is very well kept.
.Guys & Girls: Guys& girls in fordham GBA are all very nice and friendly. Most students are professional in financial markets.
.Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe at Fordham, not even in the slightest. Everyone from the administration to the professors deeply care about the safety of all students on campus. Security is more than accessible and will always be there within a minute if needed.
.Administration: It makes sense that a Jesuit university would be run by a Jesuit priest. Our university president is easygoing and he does his job very well. Our school administration is very kind, but don't underestimate them. They do mean business. They're like the school parents, strict but loving.
.Administration: Fordham residence life is so strict about guest policy. You have to start signing people in at 6 pm and they have to leave by 2:30 am unless you want to get fined. Overnight guest passes are also a pain to get. Overall, the guest policy is ridiculous and stuck in the 1950s. I do not need Fordham parenting me about guests. I am an adult who can make my own decisions.
.Transportation: You don't need a car if you live on campus, and there is public transportation everywhere. NYC buses and the Metro-North train stop right next to campus, and the D train subway line is about a 15-minute walk off-campus.
.Local Area: Fordham University is near Arthur Avenue, a place otherwise known as "The Little Big Italy." Some of the best Italian restaurants are found just a couple of blocks from campus. You can never go wrong with Italian food. I mean, who doesn't love Italian food? You can get a special for $20 (more or less).
.Local Area: Fordham is located in New York City... there is literally no place better (unless you're not a city person). Any band you want to see, they'll be in town. A new show opening on Broadway? You'll be able to see it! There are endless possibilities in this city. It is truly the center of the world.
